Mixed Emotions

Well, I registered Brady for Mothers' Day Out today. He starts in January. I know this is something he needs, but it still breaks my heart to think about dropping him off on the first day. I desperately need him to become a little/lot more independent before the baby comes in May, but I will miss him when he is not here. So, please be in prayer for our family as we prepare for this. I know it sounds silly and I should be dancing at the thought of a few hours of freedom each week, but I have spent almost all day of everyday for the past two years with him and I hate the thought of him crying for a long time after I drop him off. :(

McCormick News

We are expecting!!!!! We are 15 weeks and due on May 26th! I have been taking daily naps, so I haven't been posting much. I finally have my energy back!!! Brady really has no clue about what's going on, but soon enough he will figure it out!!!! :)
Here are a few pictures of random things. The group shot is a picture of Brady with my cousins' kids during the Iron Bowl. He had so much fun playing with them!

Halloween

Okay, we learned a lot about Brady this year!
- He does not like costumes (He was a scarecrow)
- He likes jack-o-lanterns
-Tell him he can eat a sucker and he will go trick-or-treating

A few days before Halloween Jeremy's dad was here and helped us carve the pumpkins. Brady enjoyed helping out. He loved the jack-o-lanterns!!! He DID NOT like his comstume and only liked trick-or-treating until we told him he was going to get suckers and could eat one (He is now at the stage where we can bribe him when necessary). Jeremy only walked him to a few houses, but Brady did enjoy seeing his neighborhood friends out walking around too. We'll try again next year!

Pumpkin Patch

We took Brady to a local pumpkin patch before Halloween and had a great time. We even packed a lunch and had a picnic while we were there. Some friends met us out there with there little girl and walked around with us. Brady loved the animals and enjoyed the hayride to the patch. Bless his heart, he constanly tripped over the roots in the patch, but had a good time. This is out second year to take him and will hopefully make it a tradition to do it every year!

First time in Tuscaloosa

We packed up and went to Tuscaloosa for the day to hang out a few weekends ago. We found a great shady spot under a tree and ate lunch. We weren't sure whether or not Brady would like Big Al, but he LOVED him!!!!! He also got to hear part of the band warm up. He had everyone around him laughing because he was dancing like crazy. The little guy was asleep before we were on the interstate coming home. Hopefully we'll get to take him back soon. We all had a great time that day! ROLL TIDE!!!

Visit with Papa

Papa (my dad) came to visit a few weekends ago to help celebrate my 30th birthday. :) Here a few pictures from the weekend. We were very lazy and I enjoyed it! Jeremy's parents were also up that weekend camping out at the state park. We rode over for a little while after dad left and hung out. Brady enjoys all of the attention he gets from all of his grandparents and I enjoy letting them chase him for a little while!

Brady Appleseed

Brady got into the cabinets for a second while I was cooking the other night. He became very quiet, so I walked into the living room to check on him. This is what I found! A few night later, he decided to make lovely music by slamming two lids together. I guess Kindermusik is paying off! :)

BIG FOOT

I took Brady to have his foot measured this morning. He needs a 7 1/2 wide. Bless his heart, he has my wide feet! :( I can't believe how big he is getting. Even Ms. Tammy, Brady's KinderMusik teacher commented this morning on how big he is getting. It is so neat to notice how he is growing and changing daily. He now says, "more", "Roll Tide", and "ruff ruff" every time he hears a dog bark. I'm blessed with a child who is growing leaps and bounds, but a selfish part of me wants him to slowdown and not grow up so fast!

New Brady Happenings

Things have been busy lately, so I wanted to write and tell you a few things Brady has been doing.
~ We had VBS at church a few weeks ago and Brady went with me. He did great and had fun. Our refridgerator is full of beautiful work!
~ Brady had a small accident, falling and landing on the windowsill. He ended up having a black eye. I didn't panic, as I am sure it's only the first of MANY accidents.
~ We went for his checkup last week. He now weighs 27 pounds and is 34 3/4 inches long!
~ Brady is into books again. He loved books forever, but then decided explore other interests. Well, he is back to books. We look at books most of the day...on the couch, in the chair, on the porch, sitting on a blanket in the yard. I think I can recite Goodnight Moon in my sleep!
~ He is eating with a spoon and fork! How nice that he can now feed himself and I get to eat too!
~We went to Mobile a few weeks ago. I took Brady to play with my cousin's little boy. They had a blast. they hugged bye for about 5 minutes. Brady fell asleep as soon as I put him in the car (While wearing his sunglasses).
~He enjoys exploring and plundering- everything!!!
Other than that, we have been playing and trying to stay cool. Brady is at such a fun age and we are loving it!

Our trip to D.C.

Jeremy had an awards banquet in Washington D.C. and I was able to go with him....so we left Brady for the first time! Jeremy's parents kept him at our house. We left on Tuesday and came back on Thursday. We were able to site see a little while we were there. It was my first chance to visit, so I really enjoyed it. Brady did great while we were gone. I must admit that it was nice to sleep without the buzz of a baby monitor in my ear!!!!! Thanks Nonna and Grandpa!

Week in Mobile

Brady and I spent the first week of June in Mobile. We were able to spend time with family and friends. My cousin got married that Saturday, so I was able to help decorate on Friday and go to the wedding on Saturday. Brady enjoyed many firsts while we were there, including: riding a four-wheeler, visiting the hunting camp, eating a popsicle, meeting a lot of my mom's side of the family, and visiting the Dauphin Island Estuarium. We had a great time!
